12/04/2011 - Gringos in Stafford
I was craving Mexican food so I stopped at Gringos for dinner today. Gringos was definitely a good choice! I ordered a variety of food, not because I'm greedy, but because I wanted to taste as many different dishes as possible! I started off with the free chips with salsa and guacamole dip. The chips were fresh and crisp. The salsa dip was so tasty that I wondered if they sold it in bottles. Needless to say, I was already getting full and my main dish had not arrived yet. I had beef empanadas for an appetizer and, in my opinion, these were the best empanadas I had tasted in a very long time. For my main course, I ate the dish named Three Amigos plus Pepe which is a plate of four different types of enchiladas with a side of beans and rice. I packed a carryout box to go and I did not have room for the free ice cream.
I couldn't leave without taking advantage of their gift card special. If you purchase $50 in gift cards, you receive an additional gift card for $10. Teachers and educators in the local school districts also receive an additional 20% of their gift card purchase. Someone will get Gringos gift cards in their Christmas stocking this year.
